Linux for Big Iron

This page tries to list some of the more important IBM Redbooks that have been written about Linux/390. There are a fair number of Redpieces and Redpapers as well, but they won't be tracked here. (If you want to see why not...)

A number of the Redbooks are considered indispensable sources of information about Linux/390 and how to install it, customize it, and manage it. Those are listed first, in the order they were published. It is strongly recommended that you download them and read them. The third section of books are oriented more towards specific products, whether IBM or otherwise, or simply have a more narrow focus.
