Jim Elliott

Jim is currently the Linux Advocate for IBM Canada. Over a nearly 29 year career at IBM he has had roles in IT operations, mainframe systems programming and application development, and technical marketing support. For the last ten years he has been responsible for product management for a variety of enterprise server platforms for IBM Americas, including z/OS/390, z/VM and VSE/ESA.

For the last two years has been responsible for product management for Linux on S/390 and zSeries. Since December of 2001, Jim has been IBM Canada's Linux Advocate and in that role covers Linux on all platforms for IBM Canada.
