Enables multiple Linux images to run on a single S/390
system
• VIF runs natively or in an LPAR
• Does not require VM skills, but in reality is a stripped-down
  version of VM.
  
• Supports ten to hundreds of images, depending on
  workload
• Less capable in terms of management ability than VM, with
  less granularity of control.
  

Complements the S/390 Integrated Facility for Linux

Much more attractive engine-based pricing terms and conditions
than VM.

Only runs Linux for S/390.
